The New National Hospital at Hringbraut, Laboratory building
The project involves the design of a laboratory centre on 5 floors above ground and a basement floor, a total of ~17.500 m2. The building includes e.g. a blood bank, autopsy and forensic pathology as well as laboratories for scientific research and facilities for e.g. histopathology, clinical biochemistry, general haematology, genetic and molecular biology, immunology, clinical virology etc. . The building is designed in 3D using BIM methodology.
VSO is responsible for:
- Geotechnical design.
- Structural design.
- HVAC systems design.
- Building physics consulting.
- BREEAM consult and review.
- Project management of the design for the whole project.
Project period: 2018-2023.
