Highway 1: Skarhólabraut-Hafravatnsvegur

The project involves design of a double road section on highway 1 between Reykjavík and Mosfellsbær, i.a. bridges, underpasses, pedestrian bridge and walking paths together with calculations of traffic noise, acoustic design, etc.

VSO is responsible for:

• Roads and pathway design.
• Design of vehicular and pedestrian bridges.
• Structural design.
• Electrical systems and lighting design.
• Design supervision, project planning and the making of tender documents.

Project period: 2008-2009.

Client: Vegagerðin (The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA).
