Environmental Impact Assessment, Reykjavík Master Plan

VSO worked on an environmental impact assessment for Reykjavík master plan, which was quite a transformation from the previous master plan. Increased emphasis was put on direction choices, agenda and particular parts of the city. The environmental impact assessment was divided in two. In the first part, an assessment of the environmental impact direction choices for the plan was made, that is, on the development of the population, and in the second part, an assessment on the implementation of the directions that the city decided on, was made. Emphasis was put on the compaction of the population, transportation, changed travel habits and public health.
