Borgartún renewal from Snorrabraut to Sóltún

The project involves the changes to Borgartúni from Snorrabraut to the roundabout next to Sóltún. Sidewalks willl be replaced, bike lanes built, the road will be narrowed beside Snorrabraut and the lighting was renewed. Also included in the project is a considerable amount of work put into the installment of a 132kv high voltage transmission line as well as sewer systems.

The project is particularly challenging due to a tight work area and because it required constant surveillance and solutions to various technical tasks.

VSO is responsible for:

• Project supervision and control.
• Assistance in design due to project solutions during project period.

Project period: 2013-2015.
