Highway 1: Víkurvegur-Skarhólabraut

The project involves design of highway 1 on a 3,5 km section between Reykjavik and Mosfellsbær, incl. a brigde, roundabout, walking and cycling paths and environmental effect assessment.

VSO is responsible for:

• Road, walkway and bridge design.
• Structural design.
• Electrical systems and lighting design.
• Cost estimates and tender documents.

Project period: 2003-2004.

Client: Vegagerðin (The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA).
